Marsaili Fraser
Marsaili joined Cattanach in 2023 as Head of Policy. She is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and rights of children and families. With a background in social sciences, she spent 15 years abroad working for the European Union and other international organisations. After coming home to Scotland in 2016, she completed a masters degree in psychology, with a particular interest in the impact of early childhood experiences on health, development and wellbeing. She worked with Inspiring Scotland to deliver the Scottish Government’s first Perinatal and Infant Mental Health fund launched in 2020, and has advised other independent grant-makers on strengthening holistic support for children and families in the early years. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, a Masters degree in Nationalism Studies from the Central European University and an MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow.
Marsaili is a trustee with two Scottish charities and a volunteer mentor with brilliant care-experienced young people through MCR Pathways in Glasgow. She learned Gaelic at school and is a proud Glasgow Gael.
