Shelagh Young
Associate

Shelagh Young is a consultant specialising in support to Third Sector organisations. She was Director of Campaigns and Communications at Oxfam GB before moving to Scotland in 2001 where she worked on training for inclusive practice for professionals supporting individuals and families whose lives are affected by the challenges of disability or poor mental health. She left the role of Director of Scotland for the family support charity network Home-Start Scotland in January 2020.
Shelagh lives In Edinburgh with her partner. She enjoys non-competitive horse riding, cycling and crafts including knitting and dressmaking. She recently formed a craftivist group which is working on a project using stitching to express hopes and fears around the Covid-19 pandemic.
